Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi

Award winning films were screened in a special film festival organised by Delhi's top media institute Apeejay Insitute of Mass Communication in association with CMS VATAVARAN on November 12, 2013 at its campus in Dwarka, New Delhi. A total of 12 award winning Indian and International films were screened in the festival. The film festival called 'Celebrating 10 Years of CMS VATAVARAN' is part of the series of film screenings that are being organised by CMS VATAVARAN across Delhi-NCR.

The festival was attended by students and faculty of AIMC. Also, present in the festival were Ms. Lima Rosalind, wildlife conservationist and Mr. Himanshu Malhotra, renowned filmmaker as special guests. Addressing the gathering, Professor Ogra, Director Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (formerly Regional Director, Discovery & Animal Planet) remarked that it's a great way to celebrate Public Service Broadcasting Day (Nov. 12) with film screenings based on environment and wildlife.

Mr. Himanshu's award winning film, Don't Buy Trouble on illegal trade in wildlife was screened followed by an engaging session with the students. Ms. Lima Rosalind who's also one of the expert advisory group members of CMS VATAVARAN said that the festival today, celebrates the niche it has created over the past 10 years. She also threw light on the 7th CMS VATAVARAN which is scheduled to be held from January 30- February 3, 2014.
