1. What is 3rd SHRI CMS VATAVARAN 2013?

It is an Urban Biodiversity film festival and forum being held on Wednesday 9, October 2013 at The Shri Ram School, Aravali, Haryana from 8:45am to 12:15pm.

2. Who is organizing the festival?

Festival is being organized by CMS VATAVATAN in association with The Shri Ram School, Aravali, Haryana.

3. What is the objective of the festival?

The main objective of this festival is to aware the students about the values of urban biodiversity and the steps they can take to conserve and use it sustainably.

4. What is an inter-school film competition?

A one minute film competition on Urban Biodiversity for SHRI CMS VATVARAN 2013

5. Who are eligible for the entry?

6th - 12th class students are eligible for the competition from the invited schools

6. How to enter the film in competition?

  • The school should register for participation in the competition latest by Monday, 16th September 2013. You can download the application form (link: download PDF file)
  • In case you are unable to download, please mail us, we will send the form as an attachment.
  • Once all films are completed, the films must be uploaded on CMS VATAVRAN YouTube account by the participating schools itself.
  • Early bird entries deadline for receiving entries of the one minute film is Monday, 23rd September, 2013.
  • Final deadline for receiving entries of the one minute film is Monday, 30th September, 2013.

7. What are the rules and regulation for it?

  • Original shoot will get the weightage during the selection.
  • The duration of the films should not exceed more than one minute ( 60 seconds)
  • Film can be a documentary/ docudrama/ nature documentary/ feature film/adventure film/ wildlife film/ public service announcement
  • The budding filmmakers can shoot on any device Professional Cameras/Handy cams/Point & shoot Cams/Mobiles.
  • The copyrights for all purpose of the films will be with CMS VATAVARAN, The Shri Ram School Aravali & the respective schools.
  • All the film entries will be available on CMS VATAVARAN YouTube channel after the competition after the competition
  • CMS VATAVARAN reserves the right to exclude films which are not produced in ways which does not respect living creatures, their behavior and habitats.

8. What will be the selection procedure and awards?

  • An eminent filmmaker's panel will select the films for awards and screenings.
  • The best three entries of each participating school will be screened at 3rd Shri CMS VATAVARAN Film Festival.
  • One of the best entries from each school will be selected for the awards.
  • The awardees will be declared at Shri CMS VATAVARAN Film Festival on 9th October 2013.
  • The awards will be presented in the Gala Award Nite at 7th CMS VATAVARAN: International Environment & Wildlife Film Festival & Forum, on December 7, 2013 (Friday) at 7.30 pm at IGNCA lawns, New Delhi
  • All the entries from each school will be screened in the Young Champions Lawn of 7th CMS VATAVARAN: International Environment & Wildlife Film Festival and Forum, from December 04 - 08, 2013 at IGNCA lawns, New Delhi.
