Selection Process
Maintaining transparency and quality year after year...
It is not just quantity, which is driving CMS VATAVARAN but also the quality. CMS VATAVARAN coveted award winners are selected through very rigorous, elaborate and transparent three tier selection process:
- Peer Review: The peer review team constitutes panel of four people for quality check and appraising the relevance and appropriateness of the film entries.
- Nomination Jury: The jurors constitute more than 40-50 eminent personalities from different sectors who dedicate their valuable time (4-5 days) and expertise for reviewing each submission. Thus recognising high quality films and raising the standards in every competitive festival.
- Award Jury: The jury meets for three days to thoroughly review and consider each nominee, with the challenging task of determining the film that best embodies the CMS VATAVARAN aim and objectives. The jurors constitute around 6-7 prominent personalities.
