INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL “DESERT NIGHTS: TALES FROM THE DESERT”
1-7 December 2006 at Rome, Italy

In order to celebrate the International Year for Deserts and Desertification (IYDD), the Secretariat for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is organizing the 'International Film Festival Desert Nights: Tales from the Desert' to take place in Rome, Italy from 1-7 December 2006. The festival is being organized in cooperation with some of the world’s most prestigious film events with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy and under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities of Italy.

Entries are invited under three sections i.e. ‘Feature Film Section’, ‘Documentaries, Video and Short Films Section’ and ‘Retrospective Section’ during this festival.
