Film festival to cater to lovers of nature

HYDERABAD: A bouquet of over 30 films, all on environment, wildlife and related issues awaits visitors to the CMS Vatavaran 2006, an environment and wildlife travelling film festival at the Indira Priyadarshini auditorium, Public Gardens from December 7 to 9.
A wildlife photography exhibition based on pollution and its effects, panel discussions on the degradation of India's forests and a Film Bazaar that will offer some captivating films on environment and wildlife and posters will be part of the event.
Among the prominent movies to be screened are Shekar Dattatri's `Point Calimere: Little Kingdom by the Coast', Romulus Whitaker's `Spunky Monkey', and Nutan Manmohan's `A Second Hand Life' among others. Regional films on environment and wildlife from Andhra Pradesh will also form a special part of the screenings. The festival will also focus on the conservation and restoration of lakes in Hyderabad.
