Summary:
The film is about the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the magnificent
sanctuary in newly carved out state, Jharkhand. It is very famous
for elephant habitat. The hill terrain of the sanctuary serves as
a complete ecological unit. It contains miscellaneous forests. The
Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is rich in food species of trees. The habitat
represents the characteristic floral and faunal elements of the
region. Among other animals, Indian giant squirrel is in abundance
in the forest. For the purpose of conserving and maintaining the
wildlife of this area, it was notified as Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary
by then Government of Bihar under section 18(1) of Wildlife Protection
Act.
Producers/Directors
Profile: Gulbahar Singh, made his first film Weeds in 1980,
since then he has made number of films and has won national awards
in 1986 for his film Anukaran and Biotechnology: Some Possibilities.
Sundari (Hindi) was shown in Calcuttas film festival and participated
in VI International Film Festival in Sochi (Moscow), received Diploma
for participation. A film Bheet has won national award in 44th National
Film Festival on family welfare film and Gotipua has been awarded
as a special mention in 45th National Film Festival. A children
film The Goal has won Golden Lotus in 47th National Film Festival
produced by Children Film Society, Special Jury Award at 11th Cairo
International Childrens Film Festival.
