Some recent India related work

The True Story of the Indian Wolf

Mike Birkhead and Mark Smith (Emmy Award winning photographer) are working on an ongoing research project to make a comprehensive film about the Indian wolf. The Indian wolf was immortalised by Kipling’s “Jungle Book. Are they solitary or do they live in packs and, would they befriend humans or kill them? The Indian Wolf, as with most wolves around the world, has had mixed publicity over the years. Scientists believe they are an endangered species (fewer than tigers) with a fascinating life style that needs to be protected at all costs. This programme will for the first time tell the truth about the Indian Wolf. It will not rely on Kipling’s Tales or over-hyped journalism to frighten its audience into believing large packs of wolves are going to kill children at every opportunity.

The Ultimate Guide to Tigers

The 45-minute documentary is being made in conjunction with the production of Jean-Jacques Annaud's. The film stars Guy Pearce in the role of a 1920’s adventurer whose life is changed forever by his encounter with two tiger cubs in the temples of South East Asia. The documentary is, as the title suggests an exciting, informative guide to all aspects of the cultural and natural history of the tiger.
