About the Speakers

Dr. Laurie Marker

Founder and Executive Director of the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia, and a leading authority on cheetah conservation. She shared insights on climate change and drought impacts on cheetahs and other species.

Miriam Monterroso

Executive Director of Fundación Defensores de la Naturaleza in Guatemala. She brings extensive experience on protected areas and community engagement, sharing regional case studies from Latin America.

Dr. Anish Andheria

President of the Wildlife Conservation Trust in India. A prominent voice on large carnivore conservation and human–wildlife coexistence, offering perspectives from India on adaptive management strategies.
