CMS VATAVARAN organizes Mini Film Festivals at the institutions in and around Delhi NCR every year to engage the young generation in our ecological awareness drives. Students from schools and colleges are shown award winning films from CMS VATAVARAN library; films that portray concerns related to environment degradation and the value of preservation and protection.
These mini festivals aim to spread message of conservation and importance of our nature and environment across the young people. From past many years this initiative has successfully engaged thousands of students, taking part in film screenings, rallies, poster making, poetry, story writing, quiz, etc. Thus learning and appreciating the values imparted through such engagements.
The institutions participating in mini film festival also gets the opportunity to be a part of our annual International Film Festivals. Such an exposure enables the students to view films from all across the world, raising environmental issues and concerns that people in other parts of the world are facing and how measures are taken to improve on such cases. During the festival students are also encouraged to participate in training sessions, workshops and discussions by organizations like NMNH, WWF etc. That helps them to reflect upon their perspectives towards appreciation of nature and related concerns.
A continuous engagement with the students throughout the year using films as a medium, inspires the young generation to point out and document issues in their surroundings. Employing creative forms like paintings, poetry, film making etc. These students raise their voice against the apathy and misuse of natural resources around us. CMS VATAVARAN displays these activities during their annual film festivals in an elaborate exhibition further encouraging our young ambassadors of change.
We invite institutes, centres, schools and colleges to partner with CMS VATAVARAN to organize specially curated festivals in their respective organistions.
