India has made environmental
education compulsory till graduate level across
all streams of education. But the issue of global
climate change, that has a scientific basis to
it and several issues related to it, require technical
understanding. Conveying complex issues on the
subject and demystifying them for students of
the secondary and higher secondary school level
requires training of educators, especially on
the communication component. Realising this compelling
need, the CMS Environment presents an opportunity
to impart knowledge and build skills of available
teachers so that they do justice to this challenge.
