The 5th edition of CMS VATAVARAN has got tremendous response from filmmakers, nature enthusiasts and students from all across the globe. Out of 366 films received, 106 (including 73 national and 33 international films) have been nominated for the prestigious CMS VATAVARAN awards and screenings by the 31- member jury headed by Mr. M. Veda Kumar, President, Forum for Better Hyderabad. In the state wise nominations Delhi has topped the chart. Out of 76 entries received from Delhi, 28 have been nominated for the final screening. In addition to Delhi 14 films have been nominated from Maharashtra and 6 from Uttar Pradesh. Out of total 90 international films 33 have been nominated for the final screening during the festival. Maximum number of films have been nominated from the United States (5) followed by Canada and Australia (3 each). The films are competing in 9 different categories.

CMS, this time offers complimentary delegate registration to Nominated entrant/filmmaker (ANY ONE MEMBER ONLY). Please send in your filled in delegate registration form latest by August 31, 2009. Download the form in pdf and word file. Other members of the Nominated film can register by paying the relevant delegate registration fee. The delegate registration includes delegate kit, refreshments, lunches and award night dinner from October 27-31, 2009.

Travel and accommodation

The festival will provide travel and accommodation support to outstation nominated Indian entrant/filmmaker (ANY ONE MEMBER ONLY who is also registered as delegate) and accommodation support to the nominated International filmmakers.
