Young Voices on Climate Change Follow the Copenhagen

BAL CMS VATAVARAN 2009 - "Young Voices on Climate Change - follow the Copenhagen" Theme: Climate Change and Sustainable Technologies
Duration: December 10-18, 2009

Environment has become one of the most pressing issues in our contemporary world and concerted efforts are required to overcome this global challenge. This cannot be done without the involvement of students and teachers. For the last two decades CMS Environment has been playing a crucial role in spreading awareness among students on environment issues across the country. To mark the Copenhagen summit and to further take this initiative forward CMS Environment organized BAL CMS VATAVARAN 2009 - "Young Voices on Climate Change - follow the Copenhagen" from December 10-18 in several school across the city.

CMS Environment took this initiative to screen green films in different south Delhi schools and for underprivileged children followed by an interactive session with the students on the issues related to climate change, its impact and the Copenhagen summit. Various NGOs like Salaam Balak Trust, Maanzil, PVR Nest, Setu Foundation, Pravah also took part in this programme.
