The 14th CMS VATAVARAN International Film Festival and Forum spotlights “Regenerative Development,” an approach that goes beyond sustaining what exists to actively restoring and renewing ecosystems, communities, and cultural landscapes. It moves past the traditional idea of sustainability to embrace circular thinking, ecological harmony, and community resilience — inviting transformative stories that inspire action for a thriving planet.

Delhi, at the centre of India’s environmental policy and climate conversations, provides a fitting setting for the Regeneration Forum. As the city faces growing environmental and urban challenges, the need to move beyond sustainability towards regeneration is more relevant than ever. The Forum brings this focus to Delhi, creating a space to explore how regenerative approaches can shape a more resilient relationship between people, cities, and nature.
